GRUBER DriverAPP - Privacy Policy

We have received from you the personal data necessary for the proper operation of the Gruber Beyond application that you installed. Moreover, in the future we may use additional personal data, necessary for the activation of some specific features of the application.

Your personal data will be processed in compliance with the current legislation of the European Union, specifically Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

We are providing you with the following important information regarding the handling of your data:

Holder: The holder of this data processing is Gruber Logistics S.p.A., with headquarters at via Nazionale, 75 – 39040 Ora (Bolzano), Italy (privacy@gruber-logistics.com).

DPO: At any time, you can find updated contact information for the Data Protection Officer (DPO) on the company’s Web site by visiting:  https://www.gruber-logistics.com/en/privacy/. The DPO may be contacted directly at the following e-mail address: dpo@gruber-logistics.com.

Purpose: Your personal data will be used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Organization of transport services;
  • Tracking the activities of transport;
  • Resolving issues related to the execution of the transport services.

CONSENT TO COLLECT YOUR PHONE NUMBER

  • User account information: In order to access the Gruber Driver App, you must provide your mobile phone number. This number is used as your unique identifier within our systems. Gruber Logistics does not use the phone number provided for commercial purposes. If you do not provide us with this information, you will not be able to access and use our Services. The profile name remains your choice and optional.
  • Account access information:  When you access our Service, we verify your phone number by sending you a code via SMS.
  • User account cancellation: User can decide, whenever he wants, to delete the GruberDriverApp account and all the related data from our server. To request the account deletion please use this page: https://wp-beyond.gruber-logistics.com/en/gruber-beyond-driverapp-user-cancellation/
  • Why we collect the phone number: We collect your phone number just to link your account and to assign the transport activities to that unique identification
  • What is collected: Only the pure phone number is collected, included with the international prefix. No actions are performed with your phone number that is not shared with anyone in the company but just remain inside our database. 
  • How: The phone number is purely used to link your account and as unique identifier to share the transport activity.

Automatically collected information:

  • Records and troubleshooting information: We collect information related to the performance of our Services during your use, such as diagnostic and service performance information. This includes diagnostics or crash data and error messages or reports.

The GRUBER DriverApp application does not collect any information that enables the identification of financial and/or payment data, address book, contact or SMS data, other than that sent for account verification, and calls.

Recipients: Your personal data will be accessible to persons who, within the organization, are responsible for managing the activities related to the pursuit of the aforementioned purposes. If necessary, the data we possess may be communicated to entities outside the company, for example, to purchasers of transport services in order to update them on the current status, to suppliers of goods, services, and operations or to public entities. The sole purpose of such a transfer will be in pursuit of the purposes indicated above. In cases where the transfer goes beyond the borders of the European Union, the protection measures indicated in the legislation in force will be guaranteed through provisions concerning data protection adopted by the European Commission. A copy of the data transmitted may be requested from the data processing holder.

Retention period: Your personal data will be stored until the completion of the purposes for which they were collected, but no longer than the maximum time established for each specific functionality of the application. The collection of any data will stop automatically after a period of 30 days from the last time the application is accessed.

Rights: You will have the opportunity at any time to access your personal data and to request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or extraction in a portable format. You will find a detailed description of your rights on the company’s website on the page https://www.gruber-logistics.com/en/privacy/. The exercise of these rights can be made by sending an e-mail to: privacy@gruber-logistics.com or using other methods specified on the company website.

Complaints: For each misuse in processing or abuse of personal data that concerns you, or for any infringement of your rights, you have the opportunity to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority established by the Italian Republic or, alternatively, to the supervisory authority of the country of the European Union in which you have habitual residence. (GDPR Art. 77).

Optional: The communication of your data is in no way obligatory, but is necessary for the pursuit of the above purposes. Therefore, your refusal to communicate the necessary data will render the use of the application impossible.

CONSENT TO FOREGROUND GEOLOCATION

Gruber Logistics S.p.A., the owner of the application and holder of the data processing, asks for your consent to collect and process data related to your location by means of geolocation services (GPS).

The collection of data relating to your location is limited to the period in which you execute the transport services commissioned by the company of the Gruber Group and is suspended automatically at its conclusion.

Data processing is carried out for the following purposes:

– to improve the tracking of transport activities over distinct stages, providing greater transparency and guaranteeing the interests of all parties involved. In pursuit of these objectives, the data will be processed and accessible through the shipment code for a maximum period of 72 hours after delivery.

– to ensure the peaceful exercise of the rights of all parties involved against any claims, economic or legal. In pursuit of these objectives, the data will be pseudonymized and then archived with public-key encryption for a maximum period of 1 year, after which it will be anonymized or deleted.

You have the right to revoke the consent you have given at any time. The revocation, however, shall not affect the legality of the previous processing of data.

CONSENT TO BACKGROUND GEOLOCATION

Gruber Logistics S.p.A., the owner of the application and holder of the data processing, asks for your consent to collect and process data related to your location by means of geolocation services (GPS).

The collection of data relating to your location will last both during the period in which you execute the transport services commissioned by the company of the Gruber Group and after its conclusion.

Data processing is carried out for the following purposes:

– to allow the holder to acquire information concerning the flow of transport services and optimize the organization of these services. By sharing the GPS position, GRUBER will be able to propose to our partners potential transport activities available in the area where the truck is located. In pursuit of these purposes, the data will be processed exclusively within 24 hours of receiving them, after which they will be anonymized or deleted.

You have the right to revoke the consent you have given at any time. The revocation, however, shall not affect the legality of the previous processing of data.
